Gold Country Mushroom

Gold Country Mushroom was started in 1999 and consists of a 6000 square foot growing building and several composting out buildings. The growing building houses a tray handling machine room, pasteurization room, spawn room, six grow rooms, mushroom packaging / processing room, two walk in coolers, bathroom and an office. We have 7 to 10 employees, most are part time pickers. We are a great place for retired people to work for extra income or for moms with school age kids. Each week we package and market around 1,200 to 2,000 pounds of our mushrooms in Helena, Bozeman, and Butte. Some go to a produce distributor and the rest are sold to stores. We produce mushrooms year around.
